Davidson Architecture worked closely with high end modular builder Fleetwood Australia to develop this bespoke design for Carey Baptist Grammar School’s temporary middle school facility at their Kew Campus.

 

Comprising modules designed to be suitable for redeployment in any DET facility, the ambition was to also create a high-tech learning environment which exceeded the existing accommodation to provide a short term solution which would reflect the school’s goals of educational excellence.

 

Careful attention was paid to a total coordination of spaces and technology and the external spaces and upper level raised roof were designed to retain the spacious and airy feel of this eastern suburbs location and the opportunity to frame views of the city and the abundant local vegetation. This project was delivered within a very tight timeframe with fast response to all RFIs and clarifications ensuring things remained on track during the short construction opening.
